Today we went down to Cangai to finally see the changes we requested, and we are happy with the results, it’s finally gonna sent for print! haha after that we took train down to Paya Lebar MRT and took a cab down to NSRCC to have a last recee at some of the units as we need to make booking the next day, oh did I mention it also rains very heavily when we got there?.
We then took turns to recee the units cos we only got one small umbrella, and we found 3 units that we quite like cos all 3 have the swing chair thingy. We actually wanted a unit which is quite wu lu inside but too bad it’s already taken, so we have to make do with the rest.
After our outing with friends, we then try to log in to NSRCC site and try our luck, and we manage to book 2nd best unit in our list of choice! heng still got slot man. I’m quite happy that we manage to clear both items for now.

We went down to ECP on one of the weekend to reece the NSRCC venue again to find out which unit we want to book when the time comes, as well as have a rough idea how we gonna decorate the place and things to prepare.

After a long cycling journey, we finally reached at the destination

Boy are we glad to see this chairs, it’s just nice for the JP, our dads and us! just need to decorate it a little =D

More nice chairs for the guest!

We finally found the unit we both like very much due to the fact that there is this two coconut tree just right outside the unit which is really really nice to have for our outdoor ROM ceremony!

Ideas starts to flows in my mind every time i see this pair of trees haha and not forgetting the swing behind the trees. We just really hope we can book that particular unit, wish us luck guys!!

Some new updates – we have decided to move back our ROM date from 01.10.10 to 10.10.10. We know is not much of a difference, only 9 days apart to u all hahaa but the date has some special meaning to us. 1 oct is our 4th anniversary, 10.10.10 is an auspicious date according to our bday and the date is unique too. We had a talk and a few things came to our mind:
01.10.10
ROM will combine with our 4th anniversary
Not an auspicious date for us
Is a Friday and we want a sunset ceremony, so meanin guest have to rush dwn from work which is tough
10.10.10
Nice number to remember so he has no excuse to forget buwahaha
One more anniversary date equal to more excuse for celebration BUWAHAHA
Auspicious date for us
Is a Sunday, so guest won’t have problem coming on time
Harder to book for vendors like catering, JP, file online etc available on that day
Is 6 months away, time to get things move faster liao. We have finally secure our JP aka solemniser, Prof Chia Ti Yu today. He is the only one in our ‘preferred list’ who agreed to grace our ROM ceremony with advance notice. For those who are as blur as us, fyi, we can only invite the solemniser 3 months in advance to ur actual day. Not all will agree in advance as this is purely voluntarily work. We are considered slow cos I saw some couples in forum start inviting in last dec. We are lucky enough to confirm him after reading all the good reviews. We got the 2nd last slot available cos he’s fully booked with 11 ROM venues to go on the 10.10.10 wahahaa imagine him collecting angbao like CNY.
We read up good comments like :
Very punctual, he’s early in fact steady and clear, would brief the couple to calm them down
His voice was loud enough to be heard which is good since the ceremony is not just for the couple but for all to witness
He likes to share on maintaining a blissful marriage based on Buddhism Teachings, it doesn’t require us to do anything religious. just a short one, no worries. Is more like a marriage counseling session on how to maintain our r.s after marriage and living together. Stuff like managing finance, coping with new family members, been understanding, compromising n importance of loving each other after marriage etc. Some may find it a drag while some may find it meaningful and touched.
To us, we see it as a sharing and pre marriage counseling, someone to remind us why are we getting married that day, and how to handle the shit we gona face in future hahahaa
Checklist for JP – TICK!

Finally able to fly to Taipei for our holiday and our photoshoot! been waited for ages man. We had some bad experience with our coordinator from 藏愛 Bridal Singapore Branch, Till the point we wanted to change to another coordinator. But we were glad that the Taiwan Main office is way better and friendly than we expected, making the whole experience enjoyable and memorable.

Here we are, our bridal studio at Taipei, today we will be communicating and choosing of outfit then tomorrow will be our actual photoshoot.

Here’s the entrance view of the shop

This is just one side of the wall of dress for dear to choose from, dear wanted something lively and cheerful, she picked a very sweet pink gown which we both love alot haha, even after a few rounds of trying out other gown we still end up choosing the pink one hahaha.
Then we pick a white gown which got a princess and romantic feel to it, we actually like another one more which got a big ribbon at the back but our coordinator say it won’t be able to show during photography. I pick for dear a sexy and cool black gown for dear 3rd outfit that showoff dear body curve and legs hehe. Oh ya forgot to mention that our Taipei Coordinator name is Xiao Pei, which is very tactful and helpful thru out the whole outfit selection.

Haha believe or not, this is the only accessories corner that we guys have, hahaha what to do.. For my outfit, there is some slight problem, cos I’m rather skinny and tall… there aren’t much choices for me, but still managed to found a cool white and a black outfit for me. I might have to tailor made myself a coat if the Singapore branch doesn’t have my size.

Hehe the first picture is me having my make up for the photoshoot, mine very simple only, which only took like 15mins or so. But dear one is abt 2 hours… till i fell asleep haha sorry dear.

First stop is at Mong Hu, a place with a beautiful lake and got a swing scene that we like, we gota walk up the hill and the place was kinda wet. is not raining but they say cos is mountain area so alot of condensation.. That’s dear in her jacket because there is a slight drizzle and windy. Xin ku dear laio. There’s another group of sg couple on e same day but they went to Yang Ming Shan for the lake view. Lucky we din choose that place. The weather was cloudy tt day and they couldn’t capture the lake. In the end, they wanted to reshoot on another day which cost them a few hundreds bucks to book a team of PG n MUA again.

Our makeup artist will follow us thru out the whole photoshoot, helping us do light touch up la and spray hair whenever needed. She will change her makeup and hair to fit the outfit for each gown and outfit too.

Check out the beautiful lake man haha love this place, thats dear and our assistance Ah Ren, we both respect him man, keep on getting scold from the photographer, help us carry this and that, help us test if the area is safe, basically he did everything for us to make sure everything runs smoothly. Thanks Ah Ren!

Here’s our great and funny photographer, they call him Ah Dou, always make us laugh one cos he kept on saying “Yao Xin Fu Wor” , “Smilllllee” haha cannot tahan, but all this funny words helps us relax alot during the shoot. He very nice guy to work wif, we told him wad we have in mind n he tried his best to achieve the result we want. He oso pay alot attention to small details which makes us feel confident in him to make the call. He didnt stress us to buy more photos (thy get commission if we buy pics) nor giving us pressure to hurry up cos is already 10.30pm when thy closed at 10pm. He will give us professional POV when we r deciding which pic to enlarge for bedrm frame la, album design etc. Great to have him as our photographer haha.

More photos of the place.

2nd venue - LingJiao, a place with railway track and a secret location where our waterfall is!. all are request by us. And that’s our photographer Ah Dou in the photo..

We both want a retro feel, so we choose to have our photos taken at a railway tack, the train station is still in operation btw.

The make up artist doing some retouch up on dear face cos she ate all the lip gloss again haha time to reapply, think she’s really hungry lol.

After we took a few shots along the railway sides, we then move off to the waterfall secret location which we need to walk up and down many flight of stairs.

That’s me holding dear’s gown tail… see how dirty and muddy it is, good thing the photographer say his camera is very sensitive to white, its really true.. when we view the photos that was taken, all the dirty and mud are hardly noticeable in the photos!

TADA! our special requested - big waterfall!!! I think this is by far the most difficult location to take the photograph, everywhere is muddy and slippery, we need to be very careful while stepping on the rocks, but despite all that.. all the photos taken are amazing man.

Assistant kana scolding again from photographer.. poor chap, Ah Ren is very strict to him during the whole shoot, guess it’s part of the learning process I think.

After our tough but wonderful photoshoot at the waterfall, we move back up to the train track area to take more shots on our 3rd outfit. That’s our photographer reading some sign.

Train come liao! he suddenly tell us to run so to make it like we are chasing after the train.. the ppl inside are all looking at us like some crazy ppl haha

Walked down to another river part to take pic. according to him, this place is kinda “dirty”. there was a set of clothes folded nicely and place next to the bridge where no one is staying here. They didnt tell us abt it until we left the place, heng we dun feel tt kinda uncomfortable or goosebump there le..

Our light food prepared by the bridal studio. The assistant will still buy drinks for us from their mama-shop.

We reach back to the studio in the late evening to change into our last indoor shot outfit hehe. Already very tired but still excited for the indoor shot keke.

Dear changed into her sexy black gown and having our stylo milo make up haha my favourite one out of the 3.

Here’s my dar stylo milo wild hairstyle, really suit her dress alot. The make up n hair is more drama and bold for this series to match the shooting style. Is indoor and equipped with fully lighting gear and backdrop. I will explain y i love this shooting style most out of the 3 outfit when the time has come. Good job to the make up artist. As you may have notice, there aren’t alot of photos or info thru out this entries, reason been we like to keep the level of surprise as much as possible till we show you guys our final photos, soooo please bear with us for the time being kekeke.

Went down to Punggol last last Sunday to see how our Damai Grove have progress since not much update to the forum. We try to walk from Punggol MRT to Damai Grove by cutting across the field and couple of blocks, took us just only like 5-8mins, which is great for us in future when we go to work.
Another great thing is that there is Sheng Siong Supermarket just less than 5min walk from our block haha, and also Ang Mo Supermarket nearby somewhere which we haven’t time how long it will take us. But still good to have this two cheap supermarket around.

Here’s our Damai Grove! still under construction and still very slow lor.

At first we were worried that the distance between each block is very close, but from this view.. it seems pretty alright for us, better than we expected.

Trying to take some artistic shot of the cranes haha.

2 more weeks to go and I can’t stop smiling and express how EXCITED we are for this trip!! *do e rabbid trademark BUWAAAAAAAAA
Is our first trip to Taiwan and if possible, we wana go for the live recording of Guess x3 show if our schedule permits.I found out the contact details but need to call e TV station to find out abt the tickets when we are there. Dear stayed up a couple of nights and did up a great job in planning the whole trip on where to go, wad to do n eat, mrt maps , contacts etc. - this time round, he did most of the planning, i din contribute much =P
CHECKLIST
-Map on moving around Taipei and Hua Lian
-Hotels & Ming Shu stay booking
-Arrange car to pick us up from airport
-Book train ticket to Hua lian online
-Simcard and how to get tickets for Guess x 3 show
PHOTOSHOOT
-Jackets to cover during shoots as feb is still cold
-Pick a few own casual clothes for casual shoots ( instructed by photographer)
-Nu-bra (Check)
-DIY wedding shoes (still pasting my crystals haha too tedious)
-Dear black leather shoes (check)
-Think of items that are meaning or simply like it to be included in shoots eg: rings, bubbles
-Book appt for facial and hairstylist (book liao)
-Ampuloes (make up base to let the make up last longer for outdoor photoshoot)
-Black specs ( i wana do a nerd looking, den posing like a geek! wahahaa )

Bling Bling~ Ivory white shoes
I wanted something simple and elegant, not too ‘kua zhang’ so that I can still use it for other occasions. I love crystals cos they look great under the spotlight. That why I bought Swaraski Crystals to DIY on the ankle strap to add more bling bling! Wahaha
From: Luceno Italy, Takashimaya
Damage: $119 but it comes with 10% discount!
Height: 3.5inches (I prefer shorter but they don’t have it)

Check out my super BIG lighter! Is really this big hahaa. These are my tools for DIY, is tedious and tiring for clumsy ppl like me. My hands are not stable enuff and end up dropping those crystals into the lighter hole haha. And the funny thing is, when I shake it out of the lighter, it doesn’t come off. -___- lighter with secret compartment ? can tell is not done up professionally, abit slanted here and there on close up wahaha !! but doesnt matter la, no one gona look at my shoes aniway. I like the “man zhu gan” feeling when i see my own work- shiock!

Close up of the crystals and NuBra
The crystals come in many sizes and color but I buy the small one so that I can paste 2rows on the ankle strips. All certified from Swaraski Crystal Australia, saw the cert and chop at the shop. Is selling at wholesale price, but need to buy in bulk la. Im thinking of DIY a gift for my Jiemei to wear. Like a top with wording “Bridemaid” using pink crystals. Provided I have the time to do and they wana wear la. Shall keep in view hehee
NuBra: there are many brands out there and we found one fake one from China WAAHAhaha I dont dare to buy, wait make my body out of shape ar, tts it! The original one is from USA, selling at $160 at suntec. CHOR… I dun feel is worth buying since im not gona use it after wedding oso. Found a cheaper alternative from Robinson Lingerie dept at only $69.90! save $100 hehee somemore i heard from my married friend, some gowns have padding in it so im not too sure how it works. Can share wif u girls after im back from Taiwan.

Dear’s shoe from BATA
Dear picked up this without lace cos he find it troublesome to tie. hmm i prefer those with the strings cos they looks smarter to me. But most important of all, is he finds it comfy and he likes it la.
He has 2 sets of suits for PS, cos I wana see him in full white suit other than the typical black. He got the height and he’s slim, so I’m confident he can carry it well. I doubt he will wear full white in his entire life, in fact, i don’t think I have much chance to see him in suits also. Wedding is the only chance where he can wear and nobody is gona say he’s overdressed WAHAHA They have white shoes to lend him so let’s hope they have his size =P

This is our BS - Cangai from taiwan. We just realise the couple from channel U SUPERSTAR singing competition got married haha saw their photos from our bridal company ( See top left pic )
The choosing process was a BIG headahe for us. There are many bridal studios in sg and thy are VERY PUSHY in gettin u to sign up. Feel very stressful talkin to em. So i narrow dwn to a few based on forum reviews but somehow, I couldn’t find one where I like both their gowns and photo style (im e picky one in e whole planning =P to him groom suit looks all like e same: egg fried rice, rice fried wif egg. i never like e photo editing style n skills frm most BS , especially the montage so i wana keep it simple like abv pic.
By chance, we were at vivo n there’s a wedding fair from taiwan studios. It seems they are moving into sg mkt cos this is not the first time i seen such event. The gowns style is differ from ours, photo are oso more natural looking & best part - the scenery is awesome! which is wad we r looking for. Price is slightly higher than sg package but considered reasonable. Gowns are selected in taiwan (thousands of designs, the shop is 4storey high!! )
Actual dinner day gowns and ROM dress will be from sg branch. Since we both like their work, and we alreadi planned to go there next feb, might as well make full use of it. Besides, I bargain for quite a few freebies like extra photos, more suits & gowns, tea dress, suit for father-in-laws, photography for actual day etc *evil laugh
Photo memories will last us for a life time but we had a talk on this and agreed that we are not gona incurred additional cost by buying more photos other than what was provided in the package. Reason is after wedding, how often are we gona look at the album again and again. (probably first few months oni) We just need a few nice one to hang ard the hse, the rest? end up in storeroom or under bed collecting dust & spiderwebs. The more album u haf, the mre space it’s gona take up. Conclusion - not cost effective.
Things to prepare:
Nu-Bra (no strapless bra allowed)
contact lens (no specs with lens allowed due to reflection of lights )
Own causal clothings for extra photo shoots
White/ivory shoes for me
Black leather shoes for him
Props/accessories tt has special meaning to us (optional)
exercise to tone up my body ..
haircut n dye color
facial

WEE ~~ We finally decided on the venue for dinner banquet after comparing with more than 10 venues !! Some of u may think we are kiasu but we r considered late liao cos 2010 dates r fully booked. 2011 dates are starting to fill up pretty fast too. Is kinda fun to go site rackie and see the hotels ballroom, got the WAAAA feeling haha We did consider holding in restaurant but the price is not tt cheap either. A decent place with good food cost $700+ and it doesn’t come with hotel stay, free flow beer.
I feel most impt is we both must be comfortable with the place since we cannt SIAM from customary dinner. So, I brought dear to the hotel to look at the function room/ballroom, differ hotel has differ kinda room. We have a few concern:
1. package - price, free flow beer, wine (beer is nt cheap lo n i cant tell my guest, eh dun drink so much on my wedding hor.. so paisei)
2. ballroom ceiling height- both of us are tall, we will prefer a tall ceiling
3. any pillar blocking view - saw some hotel tt has pillar blocking the stage/ screen
4. location - sentosa is definitely gona turn my non-driving guests off
5. date & mini no. tables required
Grand Park hotel was the only place where we both fall in love with on first sight! It has a tall ceiling of at least 2storey height, pillarless, 2 projector screen n stage in middle. the reception was grand with a long walk which we like it too. We both got the waaaa i want… feeling. the hotel may not some super high class place but most imptly, is good enuff for both of us. I think ultimately, is our family and friends that gona make our BIG day a special one =)
Location: Grand Park Hotel, Cityhall
Venue: Grand Ballroom, level 2
Date: 21.02.2011
 Grand ballroom
 Hotel Lobby

Wee~ we started on our wedding plans by looking at bridal studios and hotels viewing. This is just the beginning, but i realized is REALLY ALOT more work than i expected. Discussion of what we want, venues, dates, to-do-list by traditions, legal documents & most of all - Budgeting which is e most headache !! Dear’s busy with his upcoming events at work plus he hated maths & figures, so i help in most of the research and planning for now. Once he’s free, he will help out in other ways.
We are quite lost cos we dunno where to begin, but i know i will enjoy the whole process since is a once-a-lifetime event. Surprisingly, talking to her mum about the wedding stuff was much more easier than I thought. Before tt, i had the fear of moving into his hse, wad thy expect etc since he’s the oni son & eldest grandson. Heng, both his parents r very understanding & they din give us stress so long we hold a proper dinner. I can sense she’s excited abt the whole thing, telling me she wanna lose more weight and look great for the day hahaa
